6 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Steve Pearce was 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBI, a walk, and a strikeout in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Atlanta Braves. He started his Red Sox career on a tear but has cooled down in the weeks since, so Tuesday's performance was a nice revitalization. He has a .294 average with 10 homers and 35 RBI through 177 at-bats this season. He continues to serve as a platoon bat against lefties in place of Mitch Moreland. The lack of an everyday role really makes his fantasy value non-existent.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
