Steven Brault Allows Four Runs in No-Decision
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Steven Brault allowed four runs on seven hits in a no-decision against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday. The left-hander struck out three and walked two. Given a 3-0 advantage to work with in the second inning, Brault promptly gave the lead back, allowing all four of his earned runs in the bottom of the frame. He got through his last three innings without further damage, but the Cubs beat up on the Pittsburgh bullpen and went on to win 13-5. Regardless, Brault will have to pitch much better to become fantasy relevant. He'll aim for a better outing in his next start against the Colorado Rockies at home.
