7 years agoTaking the place of Joe Musgrove in the Pittsburgh Pirates' starting rotation, Steven Brault picked up his second win of the season over the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. The left-hander gave up only one run on three hits in five innings and struck out four on 80 pitches. Brault battled a bit of wildness, walking four and giving up a run after two wild pitches, but he largely held the Reds in check. With no timetable for Musgrove's return, Brault figures to get at least another start or two. His next turn in the rotation will come against a strong Chicago Cubs offense, so he's not a pitcher to target for now.--Matt Wilkes
