4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Steven Souza Jr. has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a strained right hamstring. The move allows the team to purchase the contract of utilityman Hernan Perez, who could fill in for Souza as the club’s extra outfielder off the bench. Souza has delivered an underwhelming .144 xBA across his first nine games, making him primarily a low-priced DFS option when he’s in the lineup. With just five starts to this point in the season coupled with his stint on the IL, Souza can remain on the wire in all formats.--Jesse Borek
