6 years agoBoston Red Sox knuckleballer Steven Wright is heading to the disabled list with left knee inflammation. This is a big blow for the Red Sox as Wright has been filling in admirably for fellow starter Drew Pomeranz, who is also injured. Wright had an egregious effort last game which saw him give up 10 earned runs over 3 1/3 innings against the Seattle Mariners, but before that outing he had a 1.23 ERA over 46 2/3 innings on the year. Wright looked like he would be a solid bottom-of-the-rotation fantasy option capable of posting solid ratios, but there is currently no timetable for his return. He could be comfortably dropped in order to open up a streaming spot.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
