4 years agoDetroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson’s fantasy outlook in 2020 is intrinsically connected to that of quarterback Matthew Stafford. On the border of being selected in 10- or 12-team leagues as a TE1, Hockenson with a full season of Stafford’s power arm might put him over the top. By all accounts, Detroit will have their top signal caller under center to open the year, paving the way for Hockenson to build upon the 32 receptions and 367 receiving yards that he amassed as a rookie, mostly working with other QB's. Where there’s sizable risk with Hockenson comes in the red zone; Detroit boasts 6-foot-4 Kenny Golladay, another favorite target of Stafford’s. Unlike in some other scenarios, the Lions have numerous wideout options that may vulture some of Hockenson’s targets; but having been the No. 8 overall pick just a year ago, few mid-round tight ends offer the upside that Hockenson does.--Jesse Borek
