2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) suffered a torn pec muscle in the team's Week 1 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, but he will not require surgery, according to Ian Rapoport. Watt did not tear the tendon, which is why there is optimism that the reigning Defensive Player of the Year could return in as little as six weeks. Considering many thought this would be a season-ending injury, this seems like the best-case scenario for the stud pass-rusher. In his absence, Malik Reed figures to have an increased role after being acquired from the Denver Broncos prior to the start of the season. Reed has started 34 games in Denver and has accumulated 15 sacks, 124 tackles (74 solo) and three forced fumbles.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
