Taijuan Walker Activated From The 10-Day IL Saturday
The New York Mets activated pitcher Taijuan Walker (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list on Saturday. Yoan Lopez was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move. Walker allowed two hits and two walks while striking out one over five innings in Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 29-year-old threw 73 pitches, landing 44 for strikes. Before Saturday's start, He was limited to two innings before exiting with a shoulder injury. Walker was efficient on Saturday and can be used as a streamer in most league formats while he remains in the rotation for one of the best teams in baseball in 2022.
