Taijuan Walker Picks Up Seventh Win Of The Season
3 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Taijuan Walker went 5 2/3 innings pitched on Saturday allowing two earned runs on two hits and two walks in the Mets 8-3 win over the Yankees in the Bronx. Walker, who also struck out five batters, was the pitcher of record and improved to 7-3 on the season. He now owns an impressive 2.44 ERA, a 1.01 WHIP, and an 87:27 K:BB in 85 IP on the season over 15 starts. Walker has been a huge addition for the Mets in 2021 and has provided fantasy managers with excellent production over the first three months of the season. His next scheduled start is a favorable matchup against the Pirates at home on Thursday. He should remain active in all formats.
