3 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Taijuan Walker will get some additional rest before his next start. The hurler will take the ball to open Friday's series against the New York Yankees. Walker started last week on Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies, allowing three hits, a walk and a run in five innings while striking out five. It was the latest strong start for a pitcher who has provided both the Mets and fantasy managers with quality production this season. In 79 1/3 innings, the right-hander has pitched to a 2.38 ERA with 82 strikeouts and 25 walks. The Yankees have scored more runs than just seven teams this season, so Walker will be a solid starting option this week against them.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
