7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taijuan Walker wants an opportunity to redeem himself from his performance in Game 1 of the Division Series, according to Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic. In that game, Walker lacked the consistency he displayed all season; he allowed four runs in the first inning. In his first season in Arizona, Walker found a consistency that evaded him in his years in Seattle. He routinely pitched into the fifth and sixth innings, allowing three runs or fewer in 23 of 28 starts. Walker's goal this season is to not only pitch better in the postseason but also go deeper into games in hopes of reaching 200 innings this season. Walker has dedicated his offseason to conditioning to achieve this feat. His dedication plus a friendly environment at Chase Field will make him a rewarding selection in the draft.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
