4 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays and right-handed pitcher Chris Archer are back together again after coming to terms on a contract for the 2021 year. The Rays dealt Archer to Pittsburgh at the Trade Deadline in 2018 in exchange for a package that included Tyler Glasnow and Austin Meadows, two cornerstones of the Rays' current success. After missing the '20 season due to injury, the Pirates declined Archer's option, allowing him to hit the open market. He posted a 4.92 ERA across 33 starts in Pittsburgh, but now returns to the organization where he was named a two-time All-Star ('15, '17). He will be a risky draft option in any season-long format out of the gate, but he's certainly a name to keep an eye on as the early portion of the year progresses.--Jesse Borek
