Tampa Bay Nears Practice Squad Deal With Breshad Perriman
3 years agoVeteran wide receiver Breshad Perriman and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are closing in on a deal that would add the speedy wideout to the team's practice squad, per Adam Schefter of ESPN and Greg Auman of The Athletic. Perriman, 28, would be added insurance in the case that Antonio Brown (ankle) is unable to suit up for Sunday's contest against Washington. While Perriman has not yet appeared in a game during 2021, he started 12 contests last year with the Jets, hauling in 30 catches for 505 yards and three receiving touchdowns. The former first-round pick spent '19 with Tampa Bay and appeared in 14 games, setting career highs in all major receiving categories: receptions (36), yards (645), and touchdowns (six).
