Tanner Houck Earns Fifth Save Of Season Monday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Tanner Houck picked up his fifth save of the season in Monday's 5-2 win over the Tigers. Houck entered the game to pitch the ninth inning with a three-run lead. He struck the first hitter out, allowed a single, and got the final two outs on a lineout and a flyout. The 25-year-old appears to have taken the closer's role in Boston, as he has earned all of his saves in his last five appearances. Houck is currently rostered in 71 percent of leagues, but fantasy managers in roto leagues at least should check to see if he happens to still be available in their leagues.
