3 years agoBoston Red Sox pitcher Tanner Houck will be called up to the major leagues and join the Red Sox roster for the second half of the season. The right-hander figures to slot into a multi-inning role out of the bullpen, similar to how Boston has used Garrett Whitlock. Houck offers plenty of strikeout upside, as he's whiffed 19 batters compared to just three walks in 14 2/3 innings at Triple-A while posting a 3.07 ERA. While he won't factor in for saves anytime soon, he could offer plenty of value in holds leagues, and warrants an add in keeper and dynasty formats as well if he's available.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
