3 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Tanner Rainey earned his first save of the year Wednesday, setting down both batters he faced against the Miami Marlins. Rainey has made three appearances since being recalled from Triple-A Rochester, and he has not allowed a baserunner. He struck out all six he faced in the two outings prior to this one. Kyle Finnegan is safely in the closer role for now, but Rainey is the pitcher with more upside, and fantasy managers should keep an eye on him heading into 2022.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
