7 years agoWashington Nationals starter Tanner Roark was saddled with the loss on Saturday despite throwing 6 1/3 innings of three-run baseball. His opponent Vince Velasquez simply outdueled him. Roark finished the day with three earned runs on six hits while striking out nine and walking three. Roark's now only given up more than three runs in two of his seven outings and is sporting his lowest BB/9 rate 3.08 in four years. He'll continue racking up quality starts and owners in wins leagues will just have to hope that the vaunted Nationals offense finds some consistency at some point.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
