7 years agoWashington Nationals starter Tanner Roark handled the Pittsburgh Pirates easily on Monday night, throwing seven innings of two-run baseball. He ended the night with six hits, four strikeouts and two walks, while throwing 64 of his 105 pitches for strikes. The two runs came on Pirates' starter Jameson Taillon's RBI double in the sixth and a home run by Corey Dickerson in the seventh. The game marked the fourth time in six starts that Roark has given up two or fewer runs. He won't get you many strikeouts, but he's a durable gamer that the Nationals' bats should come alive for at some point. He'll next face the Phillies at home on Saturday.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
