Tanner Scott Earns Fifth Save Of Season Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Tanner Scott picked up his fifth save of the season in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Phillies. Scott entered the game to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning with a two-run lead. He got the first out on a strikeout, allowed a double, but then got the second out on a lineout and the third out on a flyout to end the game. The 27-year-old has converted all of his save opportunities this season and has seen save opportunities in four of his last six appearances. His 4.07 ERA and 4.44 BB/9 rate are pedestrian and the Marlins may not offer a ton of save opportunities, but he does appear to be the go-to arm of late and has a strong 13.68 K/9 rate. Scott is currently rostered in just 25 percent of leagues and is worth a look in roto leagues at this time.
