2 years agoMiami Marlins pitcher Tanner Scott allowed one run on one hit and two walks while striking out one across an inning to earn the save in a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels. He entered the ninth inning to protect a 2-0 lead. The 27-year-old was shaky in Tuesday's appearances, yielding two walks and a run, needing 23 pitches to collect his 10th save. He owns a 4.36 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 50 strikeouts over 33 innings in 2022. Scott has become Miami's primary closer and is 10-for-12 in save opportunities this season.
