Tanner Scott Notches Sixth Save Of Season Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Tanner Scott picked up his sixth save of the season in Tuesday's 9-8 win over the Rockies. Scott came in to pitch the ninth inning and protect a one-run lead. He allowed a leadoff walk, but then got the next three outs consecutively with two strikeouts. The 27-year-old hasn't been great this season, compiling a 4.67 ERA and a 5.33 BB/9 rate. However, he appears to be the front-runner for save opportunities for the Marlins right now and has a strong 14.00 K/9 rate, so he is worth a look in deep roto leagues where fantasy managers are chasing saves.
