2 years agoDetroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal left his Monday start against the Minnesota Twins with left arm fatigue. Skubal pitched well before departing, tossing five scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and striking out four. The Tigers' rotation has been ravaged by injuries this season and can ill-afford to lose Skubal, who has been their most effective starter. Skubal has made 20 starts in 2022, posting a 7-8 record, 3.52 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 117 strikeouts over 117 2/3 innings of work. He was replaced in the game by reliever Will Vest.
