3 years agoDetroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal will get the start on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays. It'll be a rematch as the left-hander faced the same Rays team and starter Luis Patino in his last outing. Skubal struck out six in three innings against Tampa Bay on September 12, allowing just one hit and a walk. With the Tigers limiting Skubal's innings via shorter starts, Skubal won't have a ton of streaming appeal in a matchup with baseball's highest-scoring team. That being said, fantasy managers in deeper leagues could give Skubal a look if they're looking for a few more strikeouts. The rookie has 26 strikeouts in his last 16 innings. Overall, the 24-year-old has pitched to a 4.21 ERA, a 4.88 FIP, 160 strikeouts, and 46 walks in 139 innings this season.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
