7 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy expects wide receiver Taylor Gabriel to be more than a gimmick player in his first season with the team. Wide receivers coach Mike Furrey sees a "great opportunity" for Gabriel in this offense after he combined for 68 catches for 957 yards and seven touchdowns the last two years in Atlanta. “Once we get closer to training camp, and once he learns our system and knows exactly what he should do and be able to apply it to what he’s done in the past … I’m really intrigued to see how far he’ll go,” Furrey said. “I don’t think he’s at his ceiling yet, and I think that’s what’s interesting.” Gabriel adds a nice wrinkle to Chicago's offense, but it may be hard for him to make a consistent fantasy impact while competing for targets with receivers Allen Robinson, Kevin White and Anthony Miller, tight end Trey Burton and running back Tarik Cohen.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
