Taylor Heinicke Plays Strong Game In Playoff Loss To Bucs
4 years agoWashington Football Team quarterback Taylor Heinicke put forth an incredible effort in his second career start, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs. Heinicke, playing for an injured Alex Smith (calf), was 26-for-44 passing for 306 yards and a touchdown. Heinicke's most impressive work, however, was on the ground where he rushed for 46 yards and an incredible touchdown run culminating in a majestic dive to the pylon. It wasn't all good for Heinicke as he threw a pick and had a couple of other should-be turnovers, but overall he played well enough to keep a job in the NFL. As for fantasy, Heinicke isn't someone to chase based on this one performance.
