Taylor Motter is Lone Bright Spot in M's Lineup Sunday
7 years agoThe Seattle Mariners' offense was struggling mightily on Sunday against the Oakland Athletics, as they only came away with two hits all game. One of those hits went for a long ride off of the bat of first baseman Taylor Motter to deep left field over the bullpens. It was Motter's first home run of the 2018 campaign, and just his second hit in six games. Last season, Motter hit seven home runs in 92 games for the Mariners. Although he is not necessarily fantasy relevant, unless you are in an extremely deep AL-only league, his flexibility of short stop and outfield eligibility makes him worthy of a look if he is able to carry the momentum from today's game into the upcoming week. He is six games away from gaining first baseman eligibility as well.
