Taylor Rogers Charged With The Blown Save And Loss
3 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher Taylor Rogers (0-1) was tagged with the loss after allowing three runs on two hits and one walk while striking out three over an inning. He was charged with his first loss and second blown save of the season. The 31-year-old entered the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. He allowed two runners on base and surrendered a three-run home run to Ke'Bryan Hayes. Before Saturday's loss, Rogers had thrown 20 1/4 scoreless innings. The southpaw is 17-for-19 with a 1.69 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, and 26 strikeouts over 21 innings in 2022. Despite Saturday's hiccup, Rogers remains one of the top fantasy closers in 2022.
