3 years agoSan Diego Padres reliever Taylor Rogers had a night to forget on Thursday as he was charged with four earned runs in the club's 5-4 loss to the Brewers. The left-hander began the ninth inning by allowing a single and hitting back-to-back batters before Jace Peterson cleared the bases on a triple to tie the game. Nabil Crismatt then came in and allowed a walk-off single to Andrew McCutchen to give Rogers the loss and his third blown save of the year. It's been a rocky week for the 31-year-old who surrendered three runs in another blown save last weekend, but he still owns an admirable 3.27 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with 26 K in 22 IP on the year. Rogers should get back on track soon, so owners shouldn't panic during this rough patch.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
