Taylor Rogers Earns Ninth Save On Friday
5 years agoMinnesota Twins lefty Taylor Rogers pitched two scoreless innings to save an 8-7 win over the Kansas City Royals on Friday. Rogers struck out one on the way to earning his ninth save. The veteran southpaw has a firm grip on the ninth-inning role in Minnesota after the team used Blake Parker for much of the first two months of the season. Rogers has been impressive, posting a 1.91 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts in 33 innings of work. He is still available in 47% of Yahoo leagues and should be picked up wherever he's available.
