3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers (finger) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left middle finger strain Tuesday. Rogers suffered the injury during an appearance in Monday's game, throwing a wild pitch and immediately exiting the game. It's unfortunate timing for the All-Star southpaw, who was expected to be an attractive target at the upcoming trade deadline, given his strong 3.35 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 59:8 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 40 2/3 innings. With Rogers injured, Hansel Robles will be expected to see the lion's share of the save opportunities moving forward, making him a savvy add where he was dropped.--Tim Capurso
