3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers picked up his sixth hold of the season in Saturday's win over the Kansas City Royals. Rogers entered the game in the eighth inning and worked an easy inning, fanning two batters and needing just 12 pitches to navigate the frame. The veteran southpaw has been perhaps the most valuable reliever out of the Minnesota bullpen this season, as he owns a 2.70 ERA and a career-high 34.1 percent strikeout rate. With four saves and six holds, Rogers is one of manager Rocco Baldelli's most trusted relievers. He should continue to operate in high-leverage situations and is currently in a closer committee with Hansel Robles.--Tim Capurso
