2 years agoAccording to a tweet from ESPN's Jeff Passan on Monday, the Milwaukee Brewers are reportedly acquiring relief pitcher Taylor Rogers along with fellow reliever Dinelson Lamet, pitching prospect Robert Gasser and outfield prospect Esteury Ruiz in exchange for relief pitcher Josh Hader. Rogers has converted 28 saves for the Padres this season, but has struggled as of late, giving up 20 hits, 11 earned runs, and a pair of walks in his last 11.1 innings of work. Devin Williams, who has pitched to a 1.59 ERA, a 1.31 FIP, 66 strikeouts and 19 walks in 39.2 innings this season, would appear to be a better choice to take over at closer.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
