Taylor Trammell Stays Hot
4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Taylor Trammell hit his second home run of the spring Wednesday off of Chicago Cubs starter Zach Davies. Trammell went 1-for-2 with a walk in the contest, and also added an outfield assist to his resume, throwing out catcher P.J. Higgins at third base. Trammell, who is now slashing .289/.386/.579 for the spring, continues to bring the excitement every time he steps on the field, and is now firmly the favorite to start the year as the regular left fielder. With Jarred Kelenic looming, Trammell is not currently assured playing time in the long term, but if he continues this level of play into the regular season, the Mariners will surely want to find a way to keep him in the lineup. He could be a good low-cost investment option for fantasy managers.
