Taylor Walls Out Again Saturday
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Taylor Walls (calf) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Chicago White Sox. Walls fouled a ball off his calf earlier in the week, but he was reportedly available off the bench on Friday, so the injury doesn't appear to be very serious. The 25-year-old has been primarily playing shortstop for the Rays with Wander Franco on the injured list. Walls is hitting just .148/.252/.238 with two home runs, four RBI, 12 runs scored and five stolen bases in 122 at-bats. Vidal Brujan draws the start at the 6 on Saturday and is hitting sixth against White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease. Brujan is still searching for his first major league home run in just his 33rd MLB game. He's 9-for-64 (.141) with four RBI and a steal in 22 games this year.
