7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks pitcher Taylor Widener continues to rack up strikeouts for Double-A Jackson. Widener racked up nine strikeouts in five innings. He allowed two hits, one run and no walks. Widener now has three straight starts with eight or more strikeouts and has 30 strikeouts in 16 innings (four starts) this season. Many scouts believe Widener projects more as a bullpen arm than starter, but he will continue to start.
