2 years agoTeams have been checking in on Milwaukee Brewers catcher Omar Narvaez with the trade deadline approaching on Tuesday, according to sources. The 30-year-old is making $5 million this year before becoming a free agent at the end of this season. The contending Brewers already traded left-handed reliever Josh Hader to the San Diego Padres in exchange for lefty Taylor Rogers, righty Dinelson Lamet, pitching prospect Robert Gasser and outfielder Esteury Ruiz, and it's possible they might not be done dealing. In his third year in Milwaukee, Narvaez is hitting .235/.324/.364 with four home runs, 18 RBI and 16 runs scored in 213 plate appearances over 59 games.
