Teddy Bridgewater Plays Well Against Vikings
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater played a strong first half in Friday's preseason loss to the Vikings, going 14-for-19 passing for 134 yards. He threw a touchdown to tight end Dan Arnold. Bridgewater remains the top backup in New Orleans, though he'll see the field less this year than third-string quarterback Taysom Hill, who the Saints use in a variety of ways. Bridgewater's the better pure passer, and if anything happens to Drew Brees, he'll be the first one up. But as long as Brees is active, Bridgewater's not rosterable in re-draft.
