4 years agoCincinnati Reds relief pitcher Tejay Antone (forearm) is expected to be out until after the All-Star break with a right forearm strain, according to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com. Manager David Bell said, "It's nothing any more serious, but just because it's the second time in a month and the All-Star break is coming up, that could factor in where you get four extra days there. Potentially, it could be longer than the two weeks it was last time. It could be slightly longer. I don't anticipate it being much longer than that. There is no question that it's something he can come back from." Antone made only two appearances after being activated from the IL on Tuesday, as he had been sidelined with forearm inflammation for a couple weeks. Hopefully this extended rest will allow him to recover fully, as he had been one of the Reds' top relievers this year.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
