3 years agoCincinnati Reds relief pitchers Tejay Antone (forearm) and Lucas Sims (elbow) are both now targeted for late-July returns, with manager David Bell saying Sims "might be a hair ahead," according to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com. Amir Garrett could be line for save opportunities over the next few weeks but he makes for a highly volatile option. Antone, who is out with a right forearm strain, has been one of the Reds' best relievers this season despite battling minor injuries. The right-hander is 2-0 with a 1.87 ERA and three saves over 33 2/3 innings. Sims is 7-for-9 in save opportunities along with a 5.02 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and a 44:15 K: BB across 28 2/3 innings.--Josh Friedman
