3 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays are hopeful that outfielder Teoscar Hernandez (wrist) will return to the Grapefruit League lineup by Saturday. Hernandez continues to make improvement while recovering from a mild left wrist sprain that he suffered diving for a ball earlier in camp. He has been taking fly balls and hit off a tee on Wednesday. Unless the 29-year-old suffers a setback in spring game, all signs are pointing toward him being ready for Opening Day in several weeks. Hernandez was a first-time All-Star for the Jays in 2021, hitting an impressive .296/.346/.524 with a career-high 32 home runs, 116 RBI, 92 runs and 12 stolen bases in 143 games.
