3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez (oblique) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and a run scored in his first minor league rehab game with Single-A Dunedin on Tuesday. Hernandez played eight innings in right field. The 29-year-old has been out of action since April 13 with a left oblique strain, but he could return to the Jays lineup later this week if he can avoid setbacks on his rehab assignment. Toronto begins a series against the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday. Before his injury, Hernandez had six hits in his first 19 at-bats with a homer, three RBI and three runs scored in six games. He will return to everyday outfield duties for the Jays when he comes off the injured list.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
