4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez propelled his club to victory with a three-run homer in the 10th inning as the Jays defeated the Red Sox 6-2 on Thursday. He finished the contest going 2-for-4 with a walk, upping his batting average to a crisp .311 on the breakout season. Hernandez is also now tied for the major-league lead in homers with 13, to go along with 25 RBI, 24 runs and five steals in 36 games. The 27-year-old has been one of the most surprising players in the shortened season and doesn’t appear to be slowing down with just over three weeks left in the campaign.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
