5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman gained just 23 yards on 12 carries in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals, contributing another 13 yards on two catches. He had a touchdown negated by penalty. Coleman's mediocre performance was a major buzzkill after his four-score explosion last Sunday as he was out-touched by backfield mate Matt Breida 17-14 and outgained 92-36. Coleman played his usual snaps and was the preferred goal-line back, but the Niners opted to air it out for four touchdowns Thursday evening. Aside from his Week 8 outburst, Coleman has struggled with efficiency this season but still has the volume to be an upside RB2.
