5 years agoOn Friday, the Houston Texans signed left tackle Laremy Tunsil to an extension, allowing them to move on to the next thing on the team's offseason checklist: discussing a potential extension with quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Texans hope to come to an agreement with Watson before the start of the 2020 season and would likely need to make Watson the one of the league's highest paid quarterbacks, if not the highest-paid, in order to get a deal done. Watson is entering the final year of his rookie deal, though the team could use his fifth-year option for 2021 if a deal isn't reached by then. The Texans will look different this year with a pair of new wide receivers in Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb and running back David Johnson, but Watson should produce the same QB1 numbers that he's been producing.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
