Texans Claim Tyler Johnson From Buccaneers
2 years agoThe Houston Texans claimed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Tyler Johnson off waivers on Wednesday. It didn't take Johnson long to find a team after Tampa waived him on roster cutdown day on Tuesday. The 24-year-old former fifth-round pick in 2020 caught 48 of 72 targets for 529 yards and two touchdowns in 31 games (six starts) in his two seasons in Tampa, including a 36-360-0 line in 17 games (three starts) in 2021. He'll have to learn a new offense in Houston, but there is some opportunity behind Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins. Johnson will be competing for playing time with Chris Moore and Phillip Dorsett. For now, fantasy managers can leave him to the waiver wire in all leagues.
