2 years agoThe Houston Texans claimed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Tyler Johnson off waivers on Wednesday. It didn't take Johnson long to find a team after Tampa waived him on roster cutdown day on Tuesday. The 24-year-old former fifth-round pick in 2020 caught 48 of 72 targets for 529 yards and two touchdowns in 31 games (six starts) in his two seasons in Tampa, including a 36-360-0 line in 17 games (three starts) in 2021. He'll have to learn a new offense in Houston, but there is some opportunity behind Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins. Johnson will be competing for playing time with Chris Moore and Phillip Dorsett.
