3 years agoThe Houston Texans are unlikely to hire a defensive coordinator, according to a source. Head coach Lovie Smith, who was the team's defensive coordinator last season, said he will call the defensive plays. The Texans still have key spots open on the coaching staff, though, so there's still a chance that Houston will use the title. The Texans finished the 2021 season ranked 27th in points allowed and 31st in yards allowed, so they need all the help they can get if they want to improve heading into the 2022 campaign under Smith.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
