Texans Waive D'Onta Foreman
5 years agoIn a surprising move, the Houston Texans waived running back D'Onta Foreman on Sunday. Foreman was slow to recover from an Achilles injury that he suffered in 2017 and held him to just seven carries and negative-one yard in one game in 2018. The team wasn't happy with Foreman's training camp performance and head coach Bill O'Brien had already made clear that the number-two back job wasn't safely Foreman's, so the move is in line with how the team was feeling about the third-year back. Lamar Miller remains safely the number-one back in Houston and is a high-upside RB2 at this point just based on volume. Josh Ferguson looks set to be the third-down back, while the battle to be the main backup to Miller will probably come down to Buddy Howell, Taiwan Jones, and Karan Higdon.
