The Detroit Lions Defense Has Chance To Step Up Against Bears
6 years agoThe Detroit Lions defense performed admirably in their Week 11 20-19 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Heading into this week, another matchup with the Bears looms after they lost 34-22 in Week 10. However, Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) is doubtful to play on Thursday, meaning that career backup Chase Daniel will likely draw the start for Chicago. While the Lions defense is banged up with five players listed as questionable, both Darius Slay (knee) and Ziggy Ansah (shoulder) played last week, likely meaning they'll be good to go. However, this still isn't a great matchup for Detroit as their run defense in one of the worst in the NFL. Although without Trubisky, the Lions may have a shot to limit Chicago's offense, making them a last ditch streaming option.
