The Dodgers Have Contacted The Cubs About Craig Kimbrel
3 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Craig Kimbrel is drawing interest from the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network. Per Morosi, the Dodgers have "spoken with the Cubs about multiple players, and closer Craig Kimbrel is among them." Los Angeles is not the only team asking about Kimbrel but they would have a lot to offer the Cubs in a trade. Closer Kenley Jansen had a horrific three-game stretch last week so it would make sense that the Dodgers would want to bolster the back end of their bullpen down the stretch. Kimbrel has been phenomenal this season with a 0.49 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and 64:13 K/BB ratio to go along with 23 saves over 36 2/3 innings. He'd fit in nicely on any contending team.
