2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Thomas Szapucki has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday. The left-hander made his MLB debut against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. Sadly, he allowed nine runs and couldn't get through the second inning. It appears the Mets are optioning Szapucki, so he can continue making improvements in the minors. Right-hander Yoan Lopez is expected to take over the roster spot, but nothing official has been announced yet.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
